Deandre Ayton scored 24 points, Chris Paul added 15 points, 11 assists and six rebounds, and the Suns won their 17th straight (they had the same streak in 2006–2007 season) by beating the Golden State Warriors 104–96 on Tuesday night.

“It’s just a lot of work, a lot of mental toughness, staying with it,” Mikal Bridges said. “We knew when we first got here that we wanted to turn it around.”

Despite the outcome, Suns started worrying about their superstar Devin Booker, when in the second quarter he appeared to get hurt when driving to the basket for a layup, grabbing at the back of his left leg before walking to the locker room a few minutes before halftime. He didn’t return to the game and he got diagnosed with a left hamstring injury.

Suns coach Monty Williams said postgame that he didn’t have an immediate update on Booker.

Williams spoke on the adjsustments that he made during the game and how he will approach his players and make sure that they will understand the extra effort that they will need from each one of them after the Booker got injured and will probably spend some time recovering. Watch the video:

Booker had 10 points going 4/9 from the field before departing from the game. He played just for 15 minutes.

Jordan Poole led Golden State with 28 points, Stephen Curry went 4 of 21 from the field and 3 out of 14 from the perimerter — notching only 12 points.

“With all of the mistakes we did have and how terrible I shot the ball, it was a close game down the stretch,” Curry said. “I know Booker got hurt, but yes, it was a good learning lesson for us. Understanding the intensity and the focus we need to beat a team like that.”
