Real Madrid owner Florentino Perez has been wanting to encounter his players since football returned on June 11.

On Saturday, Perez had his first words (from a close distance) with his players and coach Zinedine Zidane, with one purpose to encourage the team to play good football in the second leg of the Champions League against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. In the first leg, the Los Blancos had been defeated 2–1 in Santiago Bernabeu, but the time has come for them to travel to Manchester to claim their ticket to the next round of the competition. Can they advance to the next round or even further to the final phase in Lisbon? City’s head coach Pep Guardiola has stated that he knows Real Madrid better than anyone and he admits that the game will be a huge challenge for them, especially under the absence of forward Sergio Aguero, their primary scorer.

In the pictures published by Real Madrid, we see the president talking to the players, however, Gareth Bale and Isco (who did not take part in the last two training sessions due to physical problems) did not appear in the pictures. Neither did Mariano Diaz, who recently tested positive for COVID-19 and he remains isolated at home.
