Jerami Grant had 31 points, 10 rebounds,Blake Griffin had 16 points, 12 rebounds and five assists and Delon Wright added 16 points, five rebounds and six assists as the Detroit Pistons beat 110–105 Phoenix Suns on Friday.

“They’ve got to get some reward,” coach Dwayne Casey said. “Slowly but surely, I think we’re going to come together — we’re coming together.”

“I’m very impressed with his patience and his decision-making,” said teammate Blake Griffin said of Grant’s action late in the fourth quarter. “Had a big pass to Mason, obviously, to tie the game. So his decision-making is unbelievable.”

The Pistons trailed by 23 points in the 2nd quarter of their 110–105 win vs. Phoenix. It was their largest comeback win in the last 25 seasons, per ESPN.

Suns granted too many fouls to the opposition (25 fouls), Pistons went 25/29 from the free-throw line (86.2%) and it was a key factor due to which they managed to make such a crazy comeback. Even if they shot 45.6% from the field and 32.7% from the perimeter, Pistons managed to startle them in overtime and confound Suns’ plans.

Devin Booker scored 23 points for Phoenix, while former Pistons player Langston Galloway added 17 points coming off the bench.

This is the second loss away from home for Monty Williams’ group and came in overtime where Grant scored 8 of the total 17 points to capture the victory at home.

After a great start with 5–1 record in the new season, they have started doddering with two losses in the last three games. However, they are still high up in the Western Conference, being in the second seed currently with a record 6–3 and today they will travel to Indianapolis to face the Pacers who are also in a good form and have handled their business very well in the last two games with two victories over the Houston Rockets and the New Orlean Pelicans.
