There is a report: Kyrie Irving asked the Cavs to trade him and before a couple of days he had a meeting with Cavs president Dan Gilbert. What is going on? He doesn’t wanna play alongside Lebron James. He doesn’t want to play under LeBron’s shadow any longer. Maybe he never did. So it’s time for him to play for team in which he will be face of the team.

Then another report came out and says that Irving would like to get traded either to San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat or Minnesota Timberwolves. Today another report came out with Knicks considering Melo’s desire to get traded and (the fact that Derrick Rose will finalize his deal with Lakers, something that means that Knicks could fill the point guard position with Irving) as you understand this is a possible scenario.

Also became “official” that Karl Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butler push their team to make a move and get Irving. This is an extraordinary scenario as the Timberwolves can’t trade Jeff Teague until December 15th, so who else could come to the table? Although, if Timberwolves find a way and get Irving without losing any of Butler, Wiggins and Towns (no way this scenario can work) then Timberwolves will have a great team and all the teams in Western Conference should be afraid of them. I will say it again, NBA is full of surprises every year but this scenario is impossible.

Not to mention that we haven’t seen any move by Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs. Ok about Spurs I can say that Irving could easily fit with them but they got Parker and Mills and maybe they don’t plan to make a move. But what about Heat? Yes Goran Dragic is an amazing player but I can’t compare him to Irving. Irving is all the way better, offensively and defensively. Are they willing to trade Dragic for Irving? Mmm I don’t know, maybe.

In the end, I will formulate my opinion about all this: I think that all the reports are just a bubble which will break some time. I can’t believe and understand why Irving would like to play somewhere else, when you have as a teammate Lebron James, a bunch of great players around and this team is the only team which can easily get the first seed in Eastern Conference, beat any team in playoffs and get to the NBA Finals again. Even if Knicks scenario happen, then what? Knicks will be able to collide with Cavs and beat them?

“Like I said, we’re in a peculiar place,” Irving said Tuesday at Sports Illustrated’s Fashionable 50 event. “The best thing we can do is handle things with class and professionalism. … At this point, we just see what happens throughout the summer.”

Lebron James was shocked by this report and looked like he didn’t know anything about it. Despite his devastation and shock, James won’t intervene, sources told ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

The 32-year-old superstar has taken a hands-off approach regarding team decisions this summer while he focuses on his workouts. He intends to try to lead his hometown club to a fourth straight NBA Finals appearance regardless of who else is on the squad.
