Marcus Morris had 23 points and 10 rebounds against his former team, while Bledsoe along with Mann and Kennard had 17 points apiece to help the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Boston Celtics 91–82 on Wednesday night.

“They showed their vet savvyness,” Mann said about Bledsoe and Morris. “They showed why they’re long-time players in this league. They helped close the game out for us. They showed what they do best.”

The Clippers were without Paul George for a third straight game with a torn ligament in his right elbow that could prolong his absence for even a longer period.

Jaylen Brown led Boston with 30 points. Robert Williams had 16 points and 14 rebounds, and Al Horford added nine points with 10 rebounds.

“We got a lot of great shots…they didn’t go down. But also the little stuff we didn’t execute, we have to take advantage of 3-on-2s and 2-on-1s. We lost, again,” — Jaylen Brown said.

Jayson Tatum, Bruno Fernando, Enes Freedom, Aaron Nesmith, Dennis Schroder & CJ Miles are placed on the COVID-19 health and safety protocols list, while starting guard Marcus Smart was out with a hand injury (Right Hand Laceration).

Boston (16–19), had one of the worst shooting performances this season, as they shot 4-for-42 from 3-point range — including missing loads of wide-open shots — in losing a second straight game to a heavily shorthanded team.

According to ESPN: Boston’s 82 points on 101 field goal attempts is their lowest point total in a game with at least 100 field goal attempts since the 3-point line was introduced in the 1979–80 season.

“I guess so,” said Jaylen Brown, when asked if shooting, good or bad, can be contagious. “We missed a lot of shots, and I thought we had a lot of open looks.

“We moved the ball and we got … I know they played zone, but we got a lot of great shots, I felt. Wide-open looks. And they didn’t go down.”

The Celtics have lost three straight games and they will have to play against a tough opponent on Friday, when they will host the Phoenix Suns.

The Clippers will travel to Toronto as they will face the Raptors on Friday night.
